The Municipality of Békéscsaba considers it important to ensure that the city remains environmentally friendly, livable, and has good air quality despite intensive agricultural production and urban traffic.
On April 2, 2025, the LIFE IP HungAIRy team from Debrecen presented at the EnCLOD project conference. They showcased the city’s air-quality-improving pilot action - including the planting of shelterbelts - to international partners.
On March 25, 2025, as part of the ACROSS project, foreign partners visited Debrecen to see the progress of the HungAIRy Debrecen pilot project, including the growth of the shelterbelts. They were also given the opportunity to contribute to improving the city's air quality by planting a few saplings.
On March 18, 2025, the coordinating beneficiary of the LIFE IP HungAIRy project, HungaroMet Hungarian Meteorological Service Nonprofit Ltd., organized a workshop for municipal employees.
In May 2024, the unique building in Karcag’s Erzsébet Park was inaugurated as part of the HungAIRy LIFE integrated project. This building, which is exceptional both in design and function, showcases solutions that positively impact air quality protection.
The developments launched under the HungAIRy LIFE Integrated Project play a significant role in improving air quality in Pécs. The green program, ongoing for several years, covers several key areas.
For nearly three years, a smart parking system has been operating in Pécs as part of the HungAIRy LIFE Integrated Project. This system has modernized local transportation, making it more comfortable and less polluting.
Between October 16-18, 2024, the HungAIRy LIFE integrated project organized a multilateral workshop at HungaroMet in Budapest, inviting three other LIFE integrated projects from neighbouring countries that are also dedicated to improving air quality.
On September 25-26, 2024, the HungAIRy LIFE integrated project organized the second International Conference on Air Pollution - Moving Towards Clean Air for Europe.
